Louise Batten has been the administrative assistant for the Wheaton athletic department since joining the staff in July 1988. Her main responsibilities include handling the staff's budget and organizing transportation for athletic teams.

Batten graduated from the Katharine Gibbs Secretarial School in Providence, Rhode Island, in 1966 and earned her first opportunity as an administrative assistant shortly thereafter.

In July 1966, Batten became an administrative assistant for the ROTC Division of the U.S. Air Force at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., a position she held until July 1968. Batten worked with both military and civilian employees in Washington.
