Kim Ippolito begins her second year as Wheaton's Director of Marketing and New Media in 2016-17 via the NCAA Division III Ethnic Minority and Women's Internship Grant. Ippolito comes to Wheaton from North Central College where she obtained a B.A. in Broadcast Communication with minors in journalism and physical education in 2013 and later earned her MLD (masters in leadership development) in Sports Leadership in 2015.
At North Central, Ippolito managed the day-to-day publicity, promotion and home event administration for four sports, implemented social media strategies for the athletic department, designed promotional materials on social media and assisted in gameday operations for football, basketball and track & field.
Outside of her time as the graduate assistant at North Central, Ippolito served as a host committee intern at Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans, Louisiana and as a game day intern for the Chicago Slaughter of the Arena Football League for the 2011 and 2012 seasons. As an undergraduate at North Central, Ippolito was the Editor in Chief for North Central’s college newspaper, The Chronicle, and the Assistant Programing and Station Manager at the college radio station, WONC. She also was a TV news reporter intern for Naperville Community Television.
