Wheaton to Celebrate National Girls & Women in Sports Day On Wednesday, February 3, the Wheaton College Athletics Department will celebrate National Girls & Women in Sports Day (NGWSD) by honoring its senior female student-athletes at halftime of the Lyons’ women’s basketball game against Babson College. WAMs to host Twelfth Annual Big Event Weekend Feb. 4-6 The Wheaton Athletic Mentors (WAMs), a leadership group of student-athletes from each of the college's 21 varsity sports programs, will host the twelfth annual Big Event on Thursday, February 4 through Saturday, February 6 to promote sobriety among college students and to contribute to the local community.
