Johnston Shatters 100 IM Record as Lyons Compete at Cougar Invite

WORCESTER, Mass. - Senior Ross Johnston shattered his own school record in the 100-yard individual medley race when he clocked in at 54.17 as the Wheaton College men's swimming & diving team competed at the Cougar Invitational on Saturday, hosted at Clark University.

In the 200-yard freestyle, sophomore Kevin Silva claimed a season-best at 1:54.74 while first-year John Giberti earned a 1:57.40 final to both claim spots in the top five. 

First-year Kerthan Balasubramanian earned third place in the 200-yard breaststroke for the Lyons when he timed in a final of 2:35.40. 

Wheaton competes next at the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Feb. 16-18, hosted at WPI.
