Men's Swimming Has Several Top Performances  at MIT Invite

LOCATION: MIT Pool (Cambridge, Mass.)

THE RUNDOWN:  

  • The Wheaton 200 yard medley relay team of Jacob Cost, Jonathan Dunnett, Kevin Silva, and Raymond Bortolot finished eighth with a time of 1:35.59. The Lyons also earned points in the event from Chris Steward, Nicholas Marchetti, Kieran Lynch and Daniel Roch. 

  • Cost set a season best in the 200 back (1:55.77), before going on to set a lifetime best in the 100 free with a time of 48:37. Cost also finished the 100 backstroke in third place with a time of 50.68. 

  • Timmer Sposato also earned the Lyons points in the 200 back with a B finals time of 2:07.31. Steward (56.04) and Sposato (58.65) earned Wheaton points in the 100 back. 

  • Dunnett finished sixth in the 100 breaststroke with a final time of 57.54.

  • Roch set lifetime bests in the 100 free (48.46) and 200 free (1:47.60). 

  • John Giberti set a lifetime best for Wheaton in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:06.54.

  • Silva earned points in the 400 IM (4:32.08), as did Dunnett (4:33.28).
