School Records Fall for Men's Swimming at Day Two of NEWMAC Championships

LOCATION: Cambridge, Mass. (MIT)

THE RUNDOWN:  

  • Jacob Cost set a new school record in the 100 back (49.50) and made an NCAA B cut as the lead for the men's 400 medley relay team, which finished fourth (3:23.06). The team consisted of Cost, Jonathan DunnettChris Steward, and Daniel Roch 
  • The Lyons 200 free relay team also broke a school record, taking down the current record by just .01 with a time of 1:23.58. The team, which finished fourth, was led by James Horne, who was followed by Raymond Bortolot, Dunnett and Cost. 
  • Wheaton currently sits in fifth place with two days of competition left.  

UP NEXT: Wheaton returns to action on Saturday, Feb. 24 for day two of the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championships.
