NATIONALS: Swimming Wraps Up Final Day of NCAA Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Wheaton College men's and women's swimming programs wrapped up the 2018 NCAA Division III Swimming Championships with the women finishing 19th overall and the men 42nd. 

Lydia DaCorte finished 16th overall in the 1650 free with a time of 17:12.88. DaCorte also competed with the women's 400 free relay team, swimming the second leg, helping the team (Aleza EpsteinCaitlin Daley, and Jenna Hayden) finish 13th with a time of 3:27.77. The finish was just .10 off a Wheaton school record. 

Hayden also swam in the 100 free, finishing the prelims with a time of 51.66. Erin Kean competed in the 200 breast, where she finished the prelims with a career-best time of 2:21.31.

Jacob Cost competed in the 200 back, finishing in 1:50.26, while Jonathan Dunnett finished the prelims of the 200 breast in 2:05.02. 

Athletes who finish 1-8 earn All-American First-Team honors, while athletes who finish 9-16 earn honorable mention nods.
