Hudgins lands fourth career weekly NEWMAC tennis honor

NORTON, MA- Wheaton College men's tennis senior Kyle Hudgins (Uxbridge, MA/Uxbridge) picked up his fourth career weekly New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) honor after being named singles player of the week for the week ending on Sunday, March 28.  It marked his third singles accolade.

Hudgins won both of his matches during Wheaton's 2-0 week.  In his team's 9-0 home sweep over the University of Massachusetts at Boston on Tuesday, he notched a 6-1, 6-0 triumph at the second position.  During the Lyons' 7-2 victory at Springfield College in Saturday's league opener, Hudgins won 6-2, 6-3 at number three.

A winner of three straight singles matches, Hudgins leads the team in victories with an 8-3 record for the 5-2 Lyons, who will host Bridgewater State College tomorrow at 3:30 p.m.
