Men's Tennis Falls To Rhodes, 5-2

Feit and White combine for No.1 doubles victory 

HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Rhodes College, ranked no.12 overall in the Atlantic South region by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), beat the Wheaton College men's tennis team 5-2 in non-conference action on Thursday morning. 

Wheaton picked up both of their victories in doubles play as freshmen Jonah Feit (Los Angeles, Calif./Milken Community) and Will White (Nantucket, Mass./Cape Cod Academy) teamed up for a 9-8 tiebreaker win at No.1 singles over the Lynx duo of Matt Plumley (Winter Park, Fla./Bishop Moore) and Eliot Blatt (Austin, Texas/Stephen F. Austin)

At No.2 doubles, juniors' Dan Sharon (Santa Monica, Calif./Brentwood School) and Ned Terrace (Chappaqua, N.Y./Horace Greeley) erased a 7-3 deficit to post an eventual 9-7 victory over senior Sanders Phelps (New Orleans, La.) and freshman Graham Sowden (Dallas, Texas)

The Lyons (1-2, 0-0 NEWMAC) travel to Salem State University on Tuesday, March 19 to take on the Vikings at 4:00 p.m.
