Men's Tennis Defeats Union 5-4

NORTON, Mass. - The Wheaton College men's tennis defeated Union College (N.Y), 5-4, this weekend at the Clark Tennis Courts.

Wheaton earned doubles wins with No. 1 senior Alden Zeff and first-year Jorge Aguirre Martinez (8-4) and No. 2 sophomore Jeremiah Ryser and first-year Zach Strempel (8-3).

The top three singles spots including No. 1 Ryser (6-3, 6-4), No. 2 Aguirre Martinez (6-4, 6-3) and No. 3 Zeff (6-1, 6-1) swept the board for the Lyons, sealing the 5-4 win for them.

Wheaton competes next on Wednesday as the Lyons host MIT in a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) matchup slated to start at 4 p.m.
