Men's Tennis Ends Season Against No. 1 MIT

THE RUNDOWN:  

  • The Lyons battled in doubles play, keeping the Engineers on their heels the entire contest. Diego Garcia Anton and Zach Stremple finished first, falling 8-4 in No. 3 doubles to Tyler Barr and Victor Cheng
  • Jeremiah Ryser and Javier Esteban de Celis (No. 1) were next to finish falling 8-4, while Jorge Aguirre Martinez and Ned Roosevelt took it to Michael Zhao/Pablo Ampudia in the No. 2 doubles spot, but eventually fell 8-6. 
  • Barr and Aguirre Martinez were the first singles match to finish with MIT coming out on top 6-2, 6-1, while Albert Go earned the match point for the Engineers with a 6-0, 6-1 over Roosevelt in No. 4 singles.  

UP NEXT: Men's tennis ends the season with an 8-9 overall record and 3-3 New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) standing after moving to the semifinals of the NEWMAC Tournament for the first time since 2013.
