Men’s Track 4x400 Claims NEWMAC Relay Of The Week Award

Mullings, Spinu, Miklovich & Cooper honored by the conference

NORTON, Mass. – The Wheaton College men's track & field 4x400-meter relay has claimed New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Men's Relay Team of the Week accolades.

Wheaton's 4x400-meter relay consisting of Sophomores Javon Mullings (Brooklyn, N.Y./Boys and Girls), Alexei Spinu (New Canaan, Mass./New Canaan) and Sam Miklovich (Gray New Gloucester, Maine/Gray New Gloucester) and freshman Dylan Cooper (Washington, D.C./Woodrow Wilson) combined for a time of 3:32.47 to claim the top spot in the 4x400-meter relay at the Bridgewater State University Invitational on Saturday.

The NEWMAC office added Relay Team of the Week awards this season on both the men's and women's side to its weekly honor roll to recognize noteworthy relay performances across the conference. Mullings, Spinu, Miklovich and Cooper are the first-ever recipients of the award.

Wheaton returns to action on Saturday, March 29 at the Snowflake Invitational at 10 a.m.
