KISSIMMEE, Fla. - The Wheaton College softball closed out day two of the Spring Rebel Games on Sunday with losses against the No. 12 Trine University Titans (8-2) and against the William Paterson University Pioneers 3-0. The Lyons move to 1-3 overall on the season.
GAME ONE- No. 12 Trine 8 , Wheaton 2
Trine opened the game with six unanswered runs off of two home runs and singles before senior Morgan Walsh drilled a single up the middle to score in senior Rebecca Seifert to get Wheaton on the board in the bottom of the third.
The Titans would claim two more runs in the fourth and sixth to extend their lead 7-1. The Lyons started the bottom of the sixth with a walk to senior Emily Lambiase who would be out later at second from a fielder's choice that would get first-year Carly Venditti on base.
