The women's basketball team hosted a free clinic for Norton fifth and sixth graders tonight at Emerson Gymnasium. The Lyons paid tribute to everyone who has been affected by the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut on December 14, 2012 by hosting the free clinic. The women's basketball team also plans on attending various elementary schools within the community throughout the season to honor and support the Newtown, Connecticut community.

Women's Basketball, Heller's Angels Friendship Continues To Foster
About four years ago, the Wheaton College women's basketball team partnered up with the Heller's Angels Special Olympics Team. The Lyons have helped the squad work on its skills in several sports and even surprised the group with pizza at practice on numerous occasions. Since then, that partnership has turned into more of a friendship for the women's basketball team and the Heller's Angels.
