Colburn becomes third Lyon to collect all-region accolades multiple times

NORTON, Mass. - Wheaton College women's lacrosse junior Hailey Colburn (Concord, N.H./Concord) was selected to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Berkshire Region second team for the second consecutive season, becoming just the third Lyon to earn multiple all-region accolades.

Colburn joined Lauren Maynes '04 and Vanessa Pisano '05 as the program's lone multiple all-region honorees.  One of 32 players to earn Berkshire Region laurels, as 16 were placed on each the first and second teams, Colburn was among five New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) student-athletes to land on the second squad.

A two-time all-conference first teamer for the second straight spring, Colburn paced the NEWMAC with 60 goals and 76 points while ranking seventh with 16 assists.  Cracking the program's top 10 for single-season goals, assists and points, Colburn also led the conference with 19 free-position goals while tying for fourth in game-winners (3).

Colburn converted 56.6 percent of her shots, including a 67.9 percent success rate on free-position attempts.  Held scoreless just once in 19 games, she amassed at least three goals 11 times and five points on eight occasions.  Colburn heads into her senior season already ranked fifth in career assists (44), seventh in points (157) and eighth in goals (113).

Reaching the NEWMAC Tournament semifinal round for the initial time in five years, the Lyons went 7-12 while recording a 3-3 mark in the conference.
