Colburn, Fiori honored by IWLCA
NORTON, MA – Wheaton College women's lacrosse juniors Hailey Colburn and Sabrina Fiori have been named to the International Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division III Academic Honor Roll.
Colbrun is a native of Concord, New Hampshire (Concord H.S.) who is majoring in psychology. Last spring, she led the Lyons in goals (60) and points (76), and finished second in assists (16).
Fiori is a studio art major who hails from Newton, Massachusetts (Beaver Country Day School). As a sophomore, Fiori appeared in fifteen games (five starts) and scored a pair of goals. She also collected three ground balls.
"I am extremely proud of Hailey and Sabrina," sad Lyons head coach Emily Kiablick. "Being a student-athlete is a demanding job and they are great leaders who epitomize the balance we are constantly working to maintain."
The pair was among 219 student-athletes selected from 85 Division III institutions, and two of six student-athletes from New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) schools. Mount Holyoke and Wellesley each had two student-athletes named to the squad.
All student-athletes were nominated by their schools and have achieved at least junior status academically.
