THE RUNDOWN:  

  • Smith gained a 1-0 lead to start the game when Kelly McKenna used a rebound from a save in the 22nd minute. 
  • It took 45 minutes, but the Lyons evened the score when Aymara O'Brien-Pappalardo headed in a ball from Hannah Lepordo on the right side. 
  • Just 2:51 later, Caren McCarthy booted the game-winner from way outside the box. 
  • O'Brien-Pappalardo led all players on the field with five shots, while Jordan Isaacs led the Pioneers with three. 
  • Alexa Barbagallo appeared for the start and stopped ten Smith shots. Leann Wolf earned the win with six saves and zero goals against.  
  • Shelby Hall slips to 5-6 on the season, but only after stopping ten shots as well.
