THE RUNDOWN:  

  • After a scoreless first-half, which saw the Engineers outshoot the Lyons 7-3, WPI broke through with the games only goal in the 51st minute. 
  • Sophie Gomario netted the goal for WPI, which was her team-leading eighth of the season. 
  • Wheaton picked up the pace after going down a goal but would come up empty-handed, getting just three shots on goal. 
  • Leann Wolf played the entire game for the Lyons, coming up with six saves. 
  • Gabriela Hoops collected her seventh win of the season after making three saves in 90 minutes of action.
