NORTON, Mass. - Wheaton College women's swimming & diving senior Dania Piscetta (Belmont, N.H./Belmont) was named New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Swimmer of the Week for the second time this season and the fourth time of her career, as she was selected for the week ending on Sunday, January 23.
Piscetta recorded four individual and two relay event wins during Wheaton's victories over league schools Babson College and Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). In Wednesday's 142-99 win against WPI, she won the 200-yard individual medley in 2:14.73 while joining the victorious 400-yard medley relay team that finished in 4:21.75.
During Saturday's 202-88 triumph over Babson, Piscetta bested the competition in the 50- and 100-yard freestyle events and 100-yard butterfly race with times of 24.67, 55.17 and 1:01.54, respectively. She also helped the 200-yard free relay team to the top time of 1:43.81.
Wheaton heads to Medford on Saturday to compete against Tufts University at 1:00 p.m.
