NORTON, MA- Wheaton College women's outdoor track & field sophomore Didine Jusme (Providence, RI/Classical) was named New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Track Athlete of the Week for the second time in three weeks for the week ending on Sunday, April 4.
Jusme won a pair of races and took second in another on Saturday at Fitchburg State College's Sheehan Memorial, as she helped Wheaton placed fourth among 16 scoring squads.
Jusme bested the 41-runner 100-meter dash field in 12.58 and 48-athlete 200M competition with a time of 25.44, coming within 0.19 seconds of an NCAA Championship cut in the 200. She was also the runner up in the 100M hurdles in 15.42 but finished as the top hurdler among 21 Division III entrants.
The Lyons return to action next Saturday when they compete at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell's Davis Invitational.
