Junior Tope Waheed (East Providence, R.I./East Providence) highlighted the meet by smashing a 10-year-old school record with an NCAA Championship provisional qualifying standard in the weight throw, as her heave of 53' 1" was nearly three feet beyond the previous program mark.  Her performance was good for third in the competition.

The women turned in a trio of fourth-place finishes, including junior Didine Jusme (Providence, R.I./Classical), who notched a national meet provisional qualifying time in the 60-meter hurdles of 8.96.  Classmate Ashley Dell'Aira (Shoreham, N.Y./Shoreham-Wading River) was fourth in the long jump.

The 4x400M relay also placed fourth, which consisted of sophomore Amanda Claflin (Pembroke, Mass./Pembroke) and freshmen Valerie Knapp (New Britain, Conn./Plainville), Ashante Little (Seabrook, N.H./Winnacunnet) and Meredith Scannell (San Marino, Calif./San Marino).

Dell'Aira came in fifth during the triple jump, as did freshman Charmine Bien-Aime (Cambridge, Mass./Cambridge Rindge & Latin School) in the 60-meter dash.  Bien-Aime, Claflin, Jusme and junior Lauren Cardarelli (Cranston, R.I./La Salle Academy) combined to finish sixth in the 4x200M relay.

Claflin took eighth in the long jump, freshman Mollie Lane (Hanover, Mass./Hanover) tied for eighth in the high jump, and sophomore Sylvia Okoye (Stanhope, N.J./Pope John XXIII Regional) placed ninth in the weight throw.

On the men's side, senior Mark Williamson (Vienna, Va./James Madison) joined sophomore Ben Miklovich (New Gloucester, Maine/Gray-New Gloucester) and freshmen Olufunsho Olagundoye (New York, N.Y./Cushing Academy) and Michael Read (Barrington, R.I./Barrington) for a third-place result in the 4x200-meter relay, as the quartet notched a time of 1:31.37.

Individually, Read recorded a fourth-place mark during the 60M dash in his collegiate debut.  His time was 7:03.
