Women's Track & Field Closes Indoor Regular Season Action at Tufts

MEDFORD, Mass. - The Wheaton College women's track & field team competed at the 2017 Tufts Final Qualifier meet, hosted at the Gantcher Center on Saturday.

Junior Raevyn Fontaine earned a personal best time of 9.08 in the 60m high hurdles where she recorded fourth place. First-year Briana Gausland went on to collect a final time of 8.04 in the 60-meter dash, earning her sixth place. 

The Lyons also registered three of the top four places in the 200-meter dash where senior Emily Gustavson (25.40) claimed first, Fontaine (26.413) third and Gausland (26.417) fourth. 

In field events, Wheaton was led by junior Meghan Cochrane who dished out a big third place finish in the high jump with a 1.60m final. 

The NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships will take place March 10-11 at North Central College in Naperville, Ill.
