NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Senior Emily Gustavson has earned her first All-American honor as she placed sixth overall in the 200m finals at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday, hosted at North Central College.

"Emily went into both days of competition with confidence and an excitement to compete," said head coach Kim Spence '04. "It was awesome to see her produce two of her best races at the National Championships and earn All-American honors. She has worked incredibly hard over the past four years to achieve this prestigious honor and I could not be more proud."

Gustavson claimed a final time of 25.32, narrowly missing her personal best time of 25.23 which she set yesterday in the prelims. With the sixth place finish, she earned a spot on the podium with her first All-American trophy in hand.

The Lyons will open outdoor competition on Saturday, March 25 at the Bears Invitational hosted at Bridgewater State University.
