Track and Field Compete at Open New England Championship

LOCATION: Hanover, NH

THE RUNDOWN:  

  • Lizzy Akindolie led the women's team with a second place finish in the triple jump. Her jump of 11.80 meters was a personal best and is currently ranked seventh on the NCAA DIII Performance List. 
  • Raevyn Fontaine won her preliminary heat in the 100m hurdles on Friday night in a time of 14.49 to earn a spot in the final on Saturday. Fontaine went on to earn All-New England honors with a sixth-place finish in the finals of the 100 hurdles. 
  • Cathryn MacGregor was 10th in the javelin.
  • The 4x100m relay team of Fontaine, Briana Gausland, Ellen Shaw and Chellsie Pearson finished 12th in a time of 49.22.
