Women's Track & Field Qualifies Athletes for NCAA Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Wheaton College women's track & field team had three athletes, Lizzy AkindolieRaevyn Fontaine, and Cathryn MacGregor qualify for the 2018 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. 

Akindolie currently sits 11th in the nation in the triple jump with a season-best jump of 11.80m. Akindolie is slated to compete on Saturday, May 26. 

Fontaine is the ninth best 100m high-hurdler with a time of 14.31 and will compete in trials on Friday, May 25. 

MacGregor, who will start the championships for the Lyons on Thursday, is currently 13th in the javelin throw with a distance of 43.32m.

The championships will be held May 24-26 at the Veteran's Memorial Field Sports Complex in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
