Mike Yager begins his second season as an assistant coach with the Wheaton College volleyball program in 2011.
Currently a member of the admissions staff at Wheaton College, Yager holds a bachelor of science in sport administration from Ithaca College and a master of science in sport management from Florida State University.
Yager has previous collegiate coaching experience at St. Lawrence University, where he was an assistant women’s basketball coach during the 2005-06 season. He has also been the head coach of the freshman boys basketball team at Wareham High School (2010-11) and an assistant coach with the ninth grade boys basketball team at Ithaca High School (2002-03).
A member of the 1999-2000 Ithaca College men’s basketball team which captured the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championship, Yager was a four-sport athlete at Byron-Bergen High School (soccer, basketball, golf, baseball). He is currently a member of the Massachusetts Basketball Coaches Association (MBCA) and has camp experience with the Adirondack Basketball Camp and Rochester Institute of Technology.
