The Wheaton College Department of Recreation offers several ways for students and faculty/staff to promote healthy, active lifestyles by fostering a culture committed to engagement, experiential learning and diverse programing.
The Wheaton College Athletics Department offers a variety of club and intramural sports for students on campus throughout the academic year.

Wheaton's intramural program gives you the opportunity to compete and have fun without the demands of varsity athletics. The intramural program encourages participation by Wheaton's faculty, staff and students. Intramural competitions range from league-team competition to individual tournaments to short-term and weekend events.
Wheaton offers a variety of fitness classes that are open to both students and faculty/staff members.
The fitness center is located in the Balfour-Hood Campus Center and provides such equipment as cardio machines, Nautilus circuit machines, plate-loaded machines, free weights and treadmills, as well as locker rooms. In addition to state-of-the-art strength, conditioning and aerobic fitness equipment, the facility includes four wall-mounted flat screen satellite TVs and 13-inch flat screen TVs in front of all five treadmills.
