NORTON, Mass. - As the regular season comes to a close for the Wheaton College athletic programs, the Lyons have six programs ready to take on the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC).

Tournament action begins Friday, April 28 for the Wheaton softball team, while baseball, women's lacrosse, men's tennis and both track & field programs are set to compete on Saturday, April 29.

Softball enters the NEWMAC Tournament as the No. 3 seed and will travel to Springfield College on Friday, April 28 for a 2:30 p.m. contest against the Wellesley Blue. LIVE STATS l VIDEO. The winner of the Lyons/Blue game will take on the hosts at 4:30 p.m. The loser will take on the loser of game one (Babson/MIT) on Saturday, April 29 at 10:00 a.m. at WPI.  

The NEWMAC Regular Season Co-Champions, the Wheaton baseball team enters the NEWMAC Tournament as the No. 3 seed. Wheaton will play at Babson College, who earned a share of the regular season championship, on Saturday, April 29 for a double-header. The first game is set to begin at 12 p.m. The match-up is a best of three series and the Lyons and Beavers will compete in game three on Sunday, April 30 at 1 p.m. if necessary. The NEWMAC Championship will take place, in another best of three series, on Saturday, May 6 at the highest remaining seed. 

Wheaton's men's tennis team earned the No. 5 seed in the NEWMAC Tournament and will travel to Springfield College for a 1 p.m. quarterfinal match against the Pride. The winner will then travel to No. 1 MIT on Saturday, May 6 for an 11:30 a.m. match. 

Women's lacrosse is set to host Wellesley College on Saturday, April 29 at 1 p.m. on Diane C. Nordin '80 Field after earning the No. 3 seed in the tournament. LIVE STATS l VIDEO. The winner of the game will take on No. 2 Babson on Saturday, May 6 in the NEWMAC semifinals at Springfield. The Championship game is set for Sunday, May 7 also at Springfield. 

The men's and women's track and field teams are set to travel to MIT for the NEWMAC Championship on Saturday, April 29 with both field and track events set to begin at 11 a.m. LIVE RESULTS l VIDEO.
