Question & Answer

How did you get into basketball?

I started playing basketball in third grade because my neighbor's mom convinced my parents to sign me up so that her daughter and I could play together. From then on, I continued to play because I loved the game. The court became my happy place!

What brought you to Wheaton?

I decided to come to Wheaton because it was the school that I felt I could best continue the things that I am passionate about. Wheaton gave me a space where I could receive a great liberal arts education, continue playing the sport I love, and continue to grow as a leader and person.

Are you involved in other activities on the Wheaton campus?

I have been a Wheaton Athletic Mentor (WAM) for the women's basketball team for the past two years and have recently been named WAM president for this upcoming year. I am also a part of Best Buds at Wheaton which is one of the things that I look forward to most each month.

What hobbies do you have outside of basketball?

I have a passion for working with children. I love tutoring them, coaching them, and I can't wait to have my own classroom very soon! I am also learning to play the guitar.

What is your favorite part about Wheaton basketball?

My favorite part about Wheaton basketball are my teammates and coaches. I am so thankful for the relationships that I have built and I feel honored to get to represent Wheaton with them on and off the court!

What is your most memorable memory at Wheaton so far?

My most memorable memory at Wheaton so far was when the seventh-grade class from Norton Middle School came to Wheaton for the "Math Madness" game. It was an incredible way to combine my love of math, teaching, and basketball. Being able to interact with the students in that setting is something I will never forget!
