Gage Named NEWMAC Field Hockey Co-Offensive Athlete of the Week

BOSTON, Mass. - Senior Amelia Gage was named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Field Hockey Co-Offensive Athlete of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday.

Gage scored two goals as the Wheaton field hockey team picked up its first NEWMAC win of the season with a 3-1 defeat of Clark University on Saturday, Oct. 15. Gage started action for Wheaton with a goal at 14:40. The New Hampshire native broke through the Clark defense to put the Lyons ahead early. The Lyons didn't hold back as junior Katie Peters found Gage for the game-winning goal, netting her team-leading eighth goal of the season to the right side of the net.

The Lyons travel to Babson College on Tuesday for another NEWMAC competition with action starting at 6 p.m.
