Second Half Surge Not Enough as Men's Basketball Falls to Emmanuel

NORTON, Mass.- The Wheaton College men's basketball team fell to 2-3 on the year after an 87-81 loss to Emmanuel (Mass.)

Wheaton was led by Senior Alex DuBrow who finished with a career-high 30 points. Robby Lowey was a big contributor with a double-double, scoring 19 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.  Wheaton shot 33-for-71 from the floor to give them a 46.5% field goal percentage.

Marcus Fox carried the Saints with a double-double including 26 points and 10 rebounds.

Emmanuel jumped out to a 23-6 lead to start the game and carried that momentum to take a 50-33 lead going into halftime. After chipping away at the Saints lead, the Lyons cut the lead to 1 with 2:34 remaining. The Saints won the game 87-81 behind strong free-throw shooting down the stretch.
