Men's Lacrosse Ends Season With Loss at Springfield

THE RUNDOWN:  

  • Wheaton received a goal from Griffin PhaneufJosh Talanian, and Matt Morgan
  • Colin Walsh and Joey Mitchell split time in goal for the Lyons with Walsh picking up the loss after making all 14 of Wheaton's saves. 
  • Morgan gave Wheaton the early lead, netting the first goal of the contest with 9:57 left to play in the first quarter. The Pride followed with the next four goals before Phaneuf netted his lone goal of the game to cut the deficit in half. 
  • Trailing 7-2 in the second quarter, the Lyons found the back of the net for the final time with Talanian putting one away with 1:16 remaining until intermission. 
  • Springfield closed out the second half with six unanswered goals.
