Men's Lacrosse Defeats New England College

THE RUNDOWN:

  • The Wheaton College men's lacrosse team was led by Mike Abramo who had a hat-trick, while Alec Morin, Lou Mainella, Ben Stomberg and Shane Ross all contributed two goals apiece in the Lyons win.

  • Mainella also picked up three assists and three ground balls on the day while Mike Conti recorded three caused turnovers for the Lyons.

  • New England College was led by Patrick Storie who both had four goals while Guershon Villiere and Connor Smith each contributed two goals apiece in the Pilgrims loss. 

  • New England College opened up the 1st quarter strong scoring three goals before the Lyons found the back of the net with 49 seconds left in the first quarter making the score 3-1. In the second quarter, Wheaton scored three times at 8:02, 6:22 and 5:38 where New England College only scored once in the second quarter. Wheaton came out in the third and fourth quarter strong scoring seven more times during the game to secure the win. 

  • Chandler Miller picked up the win in net after making 15 saves after seeing 15 shots.
