NORTON, Mass.- Wheaton College men's soccer sophomore Travis Blair (Hastings, N.Y./Hastings) was selected New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in his career on Monday.
Blair compiled 10 points with four goals and a pair of assists during the Lyons' 1-1-1 week, including becoming just the sixth player in program history to record at least seven points in a single match.
The forward registered a natural hat trick while assisting the game-winner in Saturday's 4-0 victory over league school Clark University, as he figured in all four goals. The win also guaranteed Wheaton a spot in the five-team league postseason tournament.
Blair put Wheaton on the scoreboard during Monday's 2-2 double-overtime tie at New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) foe Trinity College before adding an assist in the Lyons' 4-2 setback at Bridgewater State University two days later.
Wheaton closes out it regular season on Wednesday with a home game against non-league foe Emmanuel College at 3:00 p.m.
