Amara Sesay Named NEWMAC Offensive Athlete of the Week

BOSTON, Mass. -- Senior forward Amara Sesay has earned a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference Offensive Athlete of the Week title after a stellar performance vs. Emerson College.

Sesay tallied three goals and a pair of assists for a total of eight points in the Lyons' 6-1 win over Emerson on Saturday at Keefe Field. The senior's three goals are a product of six total shots on the day for a .500 shot percentage.

Sesay's eight points ties the program record for points in a game, last reached by Dan Antoniuk on September 18, 1999 vs. Brandeis. Amara currently holds 40 points overall this season, leading the NEWMAC by a margin of 18.

Wheaton plays their final regular season game this Saturday, October 28, as they host Springfield College at 2:00 p.m.
