NORTON, Mass. - The Wheaton College men's soccer team played to a draw with No. 25 Brandeis University after two overtime periods this afternoon on Keefe Field. With the tie, Wheaton updates their record to 3-5-1, while Brandeis now stands at 3-2-3.
Brandeis outshot Wheaton, 20-18 overall, but the Lyons owned much of the momentum in both overtime periods as they took five shots to the Judges' 1. Those statistics almost didn't matter, however, as Brandeis appeared to have scored with just minutes left in regulation, but the goal was called back due to an offsides call to keep the match even at 0-0.
The Judges registered seven corner kicks to Wheaton's six. Diego Medina recorded seven saves, while Greg Irwin tallied six.
