Men's Soccer Picks Up 4-1 Win Over Gordon

NORTON, Mass. - The Wheaton College men's soccer team cruised to a 4-1 victory over the Fighting Scots of Gordon College in nonconference action this afternoon on Keefe Field. Jack Brusso buried a goal across the pipes from the left side of the box in the 20th minute to start the four-goal run for Wheaton. Ben DeSena took a through ball from Charlie Stringer and carried it up the sideline before lobbing it over the goalie and doubling the lead to 2-0 at 40:58. Wheaton's third goal of the day came just under twenty minutes into the second period, as Nick Vanini headed a free kick from Luca Novaes before an unassisted Neil Fitzgerald goal from a free kick capped the Lyons' offense in the 74th minute. Jacob Gagnon helped the Scots avoid being shut out with a header goal six minutes later.
