NORTON, Mass. - The Wheaton College men's soccer team recorded their second win in as many days this afternoon at Keefe Field, defeating the Hawks of Roger Williams University, 3-1. First year Alberto Franceschi put the Lyons on the board first for the second consecutive game after finding the back of the net at the 8:37 mark in the first period. Jules Stewart then buried the ball from the top of the box seven minutes later at 15:37 for his second marker of the season and a 2-0 lead. Roger Williams' Tyler Andrade scored next via header off of a free kick from Javi Beltran as the Hawks cut their deficit in half in the 36th minute. Jack Wetzel had a chance for an equalizing breakaway goal in the 34th minute, but Brady Smith knocked the ball out with a slide tackle in front of the box to stop the play. The Hawks responded with a big save from reliever Edmund Geshickter on a free kick shot to the right corner by Antonio Rogliano. Wheaton converted a third time to add some more security with a JD Souza goal at 60:54, a product of a Rogliano cross at the top of the box.
