Men's Swimming Concludes Day Three of NEWMAC Championships

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Wheaton College men's swimming team remains in sixth place after day three of the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championships with a total of 318 points. 

In the finals of the 200 free, Daniel Roch finished in seventh place with a time of 1:42.11. Richard Matthews finished fourth in the 100 breaststroke after touching in 56.76, while Austin Halstead finished in 12th. 

Matthews and Halstead returned to the pool with Colton Parkinson and Cameron LaBree for the 200-yard medley. The group took home fifth place after wrapping up the race in 1:34.62. 

Parkinson started the night with a 12th place finish in the 400 IM, touching in 4:12.82, while LaBree took 14th in the 100 butterfly. 

The Lyons return to action on Sunday for the final day of the championships.
