Men's Tennis Wins Twice in Doubles; Fall to Haverford 7-2

THE RUNDOWN:  

  • The Wheaton College men's tennis team wrapped up its California trip with a 7-2 loss to Haverford College.
  • Both of Wheaton's points came in doubles action, with Ned Roosevelt and David Hernaez Sanz earning a hard-fought 8-6 win over Kevin Yan and Pranav Krishnan in the No. 2 spot. 
  • The Lyons other doubles win came from the No. 3 team of Javier Esteban de Celis and Zach Strempel who also earned an 8-6 win. 
  • Wheaton's best chance at a singles point came from Hernaez Sanz in the No. 3 spot. The first-year won his first set 6-4, before falling 6-2 in the second. In the deciding set, it was his opponent who came out victorious, pulling out a 6-0 win.
