Men's Tennis Falls to No. 8 Wesleyan (Conn.)

  • The Wheaton College men's tennis team returned to action Friday afternoon falling 9-0 in a non-conference contest against No. 8 Wesleyan (Conn.).    
  • In doubles play, Jeremiah Ryser and Jorge Aguirre Martinez nearly pulled out a point for the Lyons, battling to an 8-5 loss. 
  • Ned Roosevelt and David Hernaez Sanz went toe to toe with their competitors in No. 3 doubles, keeping things close through the first two-thirds of the match before falling 8-4. 
  • The Lyons closest singles match came from Zach Strempel in the No. 6 spot with the junior taking it to Max Lee, falling 7-5 in the opening set before slipping 6-2 in the final.
