Men's Tennis Falls to Stonehill 6-1

LOCATION: Easton, Mass. 

THE RUNDOWN:  

  • The Wheaton College men's tennis team returned to the court Sunday afternoon, falling to Stonehill College 6-1 on the road. 
  • After falling behind 1-0 in doubles, Wheaton nearly earned a point from Ian Tracy and Ned Roosevelt in the No. 1 spot. The pair battled Russell White and Sam Miller to a 6-6 deadlock. With the game on the line, the Stonehill duo were able to do enough, pulling out a 7-5 win, handing them the 7-6 victory. 
  • Wheaton's only point came from Ethan Na in the five spot. The Lyon first-year defeated Juan Riano Rojas 6-3, 5-7, 12-10

UP NEXT: Wheaton returns to action on Sunday, Feb. 29 at 4 p.m. when the team will host Endicott.
