Men's Track & Field Travels to Towson Invite

TOWSON, Md. - The Wheaton College men's track & field team traveled to Towson University this weekend to compete in the 2017 Towson Invitational.

Senior Brendan Sullivan guided the Lyons in the 110-meter hurdles and high jump by placing fifth in both events. He secured a final time of 16.65 in hurdles while also claiming a 1.75m final in the high jump.

First-year Luke Thombs competed in the 800-meter run for Wheaton to lead the team while junior Raymond Bortolot notched a new personal best in the 200-meter.

Sophomore Bobby Pedersen opened field events for Wheaton in the javelin throw, earning a 46.23m final and a new personal best mark by eight meters.

Wheaton travels to the Trinity Invitational to compete on Saturday for their last regular season meet, hosted at Trinity College.
