Men's Track and Field Travel to Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational

LOCATION: Doug Memorial Stadium - Myrtle Beach, S.C.

THE RUNDOWN:  

  • The men's track and field team traveled to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on St. Patrick's Day weekend where they competed in the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational. 
  • In the men's 4x4, John BillingsHudson IngoldsbyKevin Fischer, and Elijah Akindolie finished seventh, running five seconds faster than their best time during the indoor season. 
  • Johnny Robbins placed 10th in the pole vault with a personal best jump of 4.26m while Antonio Guerrieri finished 14th with a 3.96m jump. Robbins' jump qualifies him for the New England Division III. 
  • In the open section of the 800m, Akindolie ran a personal best time of 1:57.14, placing 11th and qualifying him for the NE DIII while Finlay McIsaac ran a personal best time of 2:04.83.  
  • Bobby Pedersen finished 11th in the javelin with a 49.66m throw while Billings ran the 400m in time of 51.14 29th.
