4x400 Meter Relay Leads the day for the Men at the BU David Hemery Valentine Invitational

The Men got their day started in the 60m Hurdles where they were lead by first-year Matthew Cahill running a time of (8.60) and placing 7th overall in the open section. Junior Marcel Smith (8.82) and Hudson Ingoldsby also finished well for the Lyons. 

Junior John Billings competed in the 400m Dash running a time of (50.10). He was joined by teammate and sophomore William Jacobs who finished in a personal best time of (51.72). 

Sophomore Kevin Fischer competed in the 800m run finishing in a personal best time of (1:57.70) despite having to hurdle fellow competitors after there was a fall during the second lap. 

Sophomore Dominic Sclafani competed in the One Mile run finishing in a personal best time of (4:24.44). 

Cahill kept his day going after the hurdles competing in the High Jump clearing 1.90m a collegiate personal best and New England Division III qualifying mark. 

The day was capped off for the men with the 4x400m relay. Fischer lead off first for the men splitting (50.76) and handing off in the lead to sophomore Elijah Akindolie who split (50.72) in a hard-fought leg which saw him neck and neck with Suny Delhi he handed off to Billings who split a (49.71) giving the Lyons a lead going into the last leg which saw Ingoldsby close it out in (50.53) and sealing the section win for the Lyons and a season-best time of 3:21.76. 

The Lyons will be back in action next weekend at the Bowdoin College Invitational.
