Norton, Mass.- This year's Dean Sue Alexander Award goes to Men's Cross Country and Track & Field senior Luke Thombs. The Monmouth, Maine native has dedicated countless hours on the course and track as well as being involved within the Wheaton community, exemplifying what it truly means to be a student-athlete.
The Dean Sue Alexander Award is presented annually to one male and female member of the graduating class who has "made a significant contribution" to the success of the Wheaton College Athletic Program. Guidelines for nominations include participation in the intercollegiate program and/or intramural program; proven leadership ability and commitment; and relevant committee work. In 2008, the award was renamed to acknowledge outgoing Dean of Students Sue Alexander and her 21 years of support to Wheaton athletics.
