Sun Leads Men's Cross Country at UMass.-Dartmouth

LOCATION: Dartmouth, Mass.

THE RUNDOWN:  

  • The Wheaton College men's cross country team competed in the UMass.-Dartmouth Invitational with the Lyons seeing several New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) schools, including Springfield and WPI. The Lyons ended the race in 19th place out of 41 schools. 
  • The Lyons were led by sophomore Terry Sun who set a personal best time of 27:03.09, which was good enough for 66th place out of 295 runners. 
  • The next finisher for Wheaton was first-year Dominic Sclafani who completed the race in 27:41.72. Close behind was sophomore Will Entwisle (27:47.48), while Luke Thombs finished a few seconds later (27:51.26). 
  • Rounding out the top-five for Wheaton was first-year Alec Devine with a time of 29:03.05. 

UP NEXT: The Lyons return to the course on Saturday, Sept. 29 at the Saratoga Invitational.
