Men's Cross Country Finishes Third at WNE Invitational

LOCATION: Springfield, Mass. (Western New England University)

THE RUNDOWN:  

  • The Wheaton College men's cross country team returned to action on Saturday afternoon at the Western New England University Invitational with the Lyons finishing in third place out of 14 teams. Wheaton finished behind Division I Harvard, who won the race, and Bridgewater State.
  • Luke Thombs and Will Entwisle led the way for Wheaton with Thombs finishing in 15th place (27:39) and Entwisle right behind him in 16th with a time of 27:43. 
  • Moments later Terry Sun crossed the finish line for an 18th place finish (28:09). Rounding out the top-five were Dominic Sclafani (28:19) and Finlay McIsaac (28:35).  

UP NEXT: Wheaton will travel to Smith College for the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championship on Saturday, Oct. 27 for a 12 p.m. start.
