Men's Cross Country Finishes Sixth at WNE Invite

LOCATION: Springfield, Mass. (Western New England University)

RUNDOWN: 

  • The Wheaton College men's cross country team finished the Western New England University Invitational Saturday morning in sixth place out of 15 programs, finishing ahead of both New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) foes in attendance. 
  • Dominic Sclafani finished in third place with a personal best time of 26:19. The finish was the best by a member of the NEWMAC. 
  • The next Lyon to finish was senior Luke Thombs who took 26th place with a time of 27:34. Behind Thombs in 30th place was Alec Devine who crossed the finish line at 27:58. 
  • Kevin Fischer (28:33) and Andrew Kniska (28:38) rounded out the top-five for Wheaton.
