Christmas Tabbed As NEWMAC Softball Co-Pitcher Of The Week

Junior picks up first career weekly honor

NORTON, Mass. – Wheaton College junior Noelle Christmas (Plymouth, Mass./Plymouth South) has been named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Softball Co-Pitcher of the Week along with Babson College senior Kathleen Conway.

Christmas went 2-0 on the week for the Lyons with a 2.03 ERA, two walks and nine strikeouts over 10 1/3 innings pitched.

On the season, Christmas sports a 6-0 record (seven appearances) on 31 1/3 innings pitched, a 3.09 ERA, 17 strikeouts and a .313 batting average against.

Wheaton (20-2, 5-1 NEWMAC), ranked No. 25 in the latest National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) national poll, travels to UMass Boston on Tuesday, April 1 at 3 p.m.
